What the

Bible Says

Whose money are we investing?
  • The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him.
    Psalm 24:1

What is our role in investing His money?
  • Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful.
    1 Corinthians 4:2

What does it mean to be a faithful steward?
  • But seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33

  • Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. Ephesians 5:11

Will God hold us accountable as stewards?
  • So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.
    Romans 14:12

How will He reward us for our faithfulness?
  • His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant.  You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much.  Enter into the joy of your master.’
    Matthew 25:21

What should our greatest motivation be for being a faithful steward?  To delight His heart!
  • Beloved friends, what should be our proper response to God’s marvelous mercies?  I encourage you to surrender yourselves to God to be his sacred, living sacrifices.  And live in holiness, experiencing all that delights his heart. For this becomes your genuine expression of worship.
    Romans 12:1

Comprehensive Financial Planning

The purpose of a comprehensive financial plan is to give you a complete picture of your financial health and assist you in planning well for your future.

When most people think about financial planning, the first thing that comes to mind is investing. But financial planning is much more than investing. A financial plan involves a process that takes into account your values and the outcomes that are important to you. It asks the questions:

  • What matters most in your life and how does your wealth relate to that?

  • What should your wealth help you accomplish and what could it accomplish for others?

It considers the entirety of your financial life including the following nine areas:

  • Risk Management

  • Cash Flow Management

  • Investment Management

  • Tax Planning

  • Education Planning

  • Retirement Planning

  • Estate Planning

  • Equipping of the Next Generation

  • Business Planning (if applicable)

Your assets, liabilities, taxes, and income are never independent of each other. A decision in one area impacts the other areas. Comprehensive financial planning recognizes this and takes a systematic, long term, integrated approach to improving your financial situation.

Since the plan is goals-based and values-rooted, both the client and I spend considerable time on its development.  There are shared responsibilities between us. Trust strengthens as we follow-through on those responsibilities, and the continuing engagement promotes commitment and a view of success.

The comprehensive financial plan becomes your compass as I help you navigate the journey toward the fulfillment of your most important life outcomes.
